Description: Vintage mid-century artisan modern abstract brass brooch; a huge signed piece that looks to be from the 1980's. The large sheet of brass is stamped with an alligator pattern and then folded around wires and curled at the ends and attached to a brass square frame. The middle wire is gold, not brass, and tests positive for 14K. The upper wire is strung with black and green ceramic beads, brass beads and malachite beads, both on a diagonal and wrapped around the brass frame. A large malachite oval cabochon stone is bezel set at the bottom. Etched with artist's signature on the back, appears to be 'Wendi' or maybe 'Wenlli'.
