Description: Vintage Chinese export gilded silver filigree articulated fish pill box or scent box, though some call it a snuff box, as well. The beautifully crafted koi fish has an articulated tail that moves side-to-side, two Chinese turquoise eyes and a hinged flap closure under the mouth. Most likely originally used to hold a small piece of perfume soaked cloth and put inside a lady's purse or reticule, they can be also use for pills. The inside is not large. might fit 4-5 small pill or two large. Signed 'Silver' on the inside of the hinged closure.
