Description: Julio Marsella brooch; this very special brooch uses the unique and patented handmade heart shaped lampwork glass beads Marsella was especially known for. The flower design has Mayorka petals made of splatter glass heart beads - opaque pale blue, opaque black, opaque yellow, transparent green, opaque red and cobalt blue, splatters are mostly black and flecked with gold and copper. In the center are four round beads - white, yellow, cobalt and red, also speckled. The petals are set into individual gold plated frames with heavy fluer de lis prongs. Signed 'Julio Marsella' on the back.
